Screening: Do you conduct criminal background checks and reference checks?

Yes, we conduct criminal background checks on our caregivers that must be cleared. We also require at least 2 professional references.

Training & Experience: What training do caregivers have? ​

Called to Elderly Care, LLC undergo training of basic CNA and caregiving skills during the orientation process. After orientation, management requires all caregivers to shadow our Care Team Lead and receive client-specific training prior to working shifts on their own.

Consistency: Can I have the same caregiver regularly? What's your backup plan if they're sick?

Typically, a client is assigned 1-3 caregivers to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. If a caregiver is sick, one of the regular caregivers will be assigned to work the shift.

Supervision: How are caregivers supervised and evaluated?

All caregivers must clock-in to the scheduling app. The Care Team Lead and Staffing Manager conduct random weekly pop-ins to supervise caregivers. ​​

Each care team member documents and submits an ADL report at the end of each shift to management.

Evaluations on attendance and care performance are done on a daily basis during the first 30 days on staff. The client's primary representative communicates with management on the quality of care each caregiver provides.

The care team also has quarterly meetings to improve performance and address care concerns.

Licensing & Insurance: Are you licensed and bonded?

Yes, Called to Elderly Care, LLC are licensed and bonded with Now Insurance.​

Services: What's included/excluded (light housekeeping, personal care, skilled nursing)? Is 24/7 care available?

We provide non-skilled care, including hands-on personal care and light housekeeping. 24/7 care is also available.​

Communication: How do you keep families informed (log books, reports)?

We text the contact person a daily report at the end of shift. We also ask for caregiver feedback on a weekly basis.

Do you provide a service agreement?

Yes, we provide a 2-page service agreement.​​

- What is the cancellation policy?​
- The service must be for six months or longer. If either party needs to cancel the service after the required six months, a thirty-day written notice must be sent to calledtoelderlycare@gmail.com.

Cost & Payment Questions

Fees: What are the hourly/shift rates? The minimum rate is $25/hr and $37.50 for holidays (time and a half). The hourly rate is $30/hr and $45/hr (holiday pay), if the client is bedridden.

Is there a minimum number of hours per week?

Yes, we require a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Insurance: Do you accept insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, Long-Term Care, VA)?

We do not accept insurance. We only accept private pay.​

How does billing work?

We can either provide an invoice via Freshbooks.com, or the client can send payment directly via Zelle.​

Yes, the initial in-person consultation is free.

Is there a deposit to begin the caregiving service?

Yes, we require a non-refundable $200 to begin the service.​
